Becoming A Committee Member

How do you know if you have what it takes to be a committee member?

Ask yourself the following Questions:

1. Are you a member of CHNA?
2. Are you interested and enthusiastic about what a committee is doing?
3. Can you commit to 15 minutes a week for activities and one hour a month for committee meetings?
4. Can you be reached by e-mail? (Ideally, also cell, office and home as well – but not on an invasive basis)

If you’ve answered yes to these questions, you should join a committee!

Where we need help:

Finance – Got a head for numbers?  We need two members to join in here.  If you’re interested, please send an e-mail to: finance@eastonchna.org

Fund Raising – Eager folks with ideas needed!  If you’re enthusiastic, creative and/or have direct experience with fund raising/grants: we need you! We need 5 members here.  Please send an e-mail to: donations@eastonchna.org

Membership – Growth for success and keys to understanding neighborhood needs this group is what it sounds like: recruiting new members so we can accomplish great things and have a pulse on the needs of our neighborhood.  Need 5 members here. Communications – From designing flyers to nifty mailer design and e-mail/web site additions, we need someone (or two) with graphic design background and also at least 3 folks with digital cameras.  If you’re interested, please e-mail us at: communications@eastonchna.org

Garden Tour – Next year’s tour will be the best ever, but this year there are things to do. If you like gardening, enjoy seeing other folks gardening ideas or just want to get to know your neighborhood better from a plant perspective, you need to be on this committee. Need 5-10 folks on this one! Just send an e-mail to: gardentour@eastonchna.org

Nevin Park Historic Fountain and overall upgrade – Our most exciting and ambitious project ever!  This will be the cornerstone of CHNA’s neighborhood events in the near future. The more the merrier.

Hotdog Feastaville – From Sack races to Grill offs, this will be a local summer event that can’t be missed.  Need at least 7 folks on this one.

Heritage Day Tour – Want to be an expert on College Hill History?  We’ll show you how you can be a College Hill Know-it-All. Need 7 folks here.
